Overview
The Electrical Engineering department provides the design for all electrical service to all of ERC's projects that require it.

Common elements of electrical design associated with these projects include power, grounding, controls, lighting, and instrumentation.  In addition to the vital role of supplying electrical design service as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team, the Electrical Engineering Department provides consulting services for electrical projects independent of other disciplines.

Project Types
Multi-disciplinary type projects requiring electrical design services include pumping stations, water and wastewater treatment facilities, utility relocation projects for road expansions, commercial building renovations, area, road, landscape and lot lighting designs, and industrial exterior and interior electrical design.

Electrical projects include performing plant overall electrical system assessments to produce Electrical Master Plans, performing electrical studies of various types, stand-by power additions, electrical system modifications, power quality investigations, lightning protection designs, lighting designs, unit substation design, overhead and underground power systems designs up to and including 25kV, control panel designs and instrumentation systems.
